Returns Policy and Right of Withdrawal

This policy applies to consumers and complies with the legal framework established by Decree-Law no. 24/2014 of 14 February (distance contracts) and Decree-Law no. 84/2021 of 18 October (statutory conformity guarantee).

1. Right of Withdrawal (14 days)

As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 consecutive days without giving any reason, counting from the day on which you, or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier), acquire physical possession of the goods.

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by means of an unequivocal statement:

You may use the model withdrawal form set out in Annex B of Decree-Law no. 24/2014, provided at the end of this policy, but it is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the 14-day period has expired.

2. Effects of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse you for all payments received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of any supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

Statutory right of retention: We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest (Article 12(3) of Decree-Law no. 24/2014).

3. Return of Goods

You must send back the goods to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract, to the following address:

The goods must be returned:

  • In the same condition in which they were received;
  • Without signs of use beyond what is strictly necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods;
  • Preferably in the original packaging.

Return costs: The direct costs of returning the goods (shipping costs) are your responsibility, unless the product is defective or non-compliant, in which case we will bear them in full.

Depreciation of goods: The consumer is only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods (Article 14 of Decree-Law no. 24/2014).

4. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

Under Article 17(1)(c) of Decree-Law no. 24/2014, the right of withdrawal may not be exercised in contracts relating to:

  • Goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized — applicable to our wallets with engraving, monogram, name, initials or any other specific personalization requested by the consumer.

This exception does not apply if the product is defective or non-compliant (see section 6).

5. Exchanges

The fastest way to obtain the product you want is to exercise your right of withdrawal (where applicable) and place a new order. Alternatively, upon prior contact to support@singularleather.com and for non-personalized products, we may assess exchange requests on a case-by-case basis.

6. Statutory Conformity Guarantee (3 years)

Regardless of the right of withdrawal, you benefit from the statutory conformity guarantee provided for in Decree-Law no. 84/2021, lasting 3 years from delivery of the goods.

During this period, you are entitled to restoration of conformity of the goods through:

  1. Repair or replacement (free of charge);
  2. Proportionate price reduction;
  3. Termination of the contract (with full refund).

Unless proven otherwise, any lack of conformity which becomes apparent within 2 years from delivery of the goods is presumed to have already existed at the time of delivery (Article 13(1) of Decree-Law no. 84/2021).

To invoke the guarantee, contact us by email at support@singularleather.com stating your order number and describing the non-conformity, attaching photos where applicable.

7. Defective or Non-Conforming Products

We kindly ask you to inspect your order upon delivery. If the product is defective, damaged in transit or does not match what was ordered, please contact us immediately so that we can assess the situation and resolve it at no cost to you.

8. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and ODR Platform

In the event of a consumer dispute, you may use the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Platform:

Under Article 18 of Law no. 144/2015 of 8 September, you may also resort to the following alternative dispute resolution entities:
